Kim Richards: State Member of Queensland's Parliament

Thanks for visiting my web page and for the opportunity to represent you and our incredible community, it is an honour and a privilege. As your local Member of Parliament, I’m here to assist you however I can.

As a member of the Palaszczuk Government I’m all about putting Queenslanders first –ensuring that you have access to affordable healthcare, our kids have a quality education and we provide new job opportunities for Redlanders.

On this web page you will find information about important issues, speeches, petitions and opportunities to get involved.

If you can’t find what you’re looking for, please drop me a line via the Contact page.

I have lived on our beautiful Redlands Coast for the last twenty-five years and it is my goal to ensure that in all I do and seek to achieve as the representative for the Redlands, it is undertaken through the lens of ‘will this be best for my community?’

I raised my son in the Redlands, and I am committed to making sure that local families have access to great healthcare and education services, vital infrastructure and a thriving economy, allowing more locals to live work and play in the Redlands.

Before being elected to represent Redlands in the Queensland Parliament, I had an extensive career in leading Australian architecture and design firms in business and organisational management.

I hashtag #luvredlands and our @RedlandCoast, and frequently use these tags across social media to showcase the area to a wide audience. I love that I can chat in person as well as online to locals and I encourage open discussion between members of the community. I am very grateful to the people of the Redlands for giving me the honour and privilege of representing our region as your Member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly.New Paragraph

Parliament's Ethical Values

Values

I believe Leadership is about a creating a shared vision, ensuring that the created vision is effectively communicated, living by values, influencing behaviour and making tough decisions as and when required.Being fair is an essential ingredient, it is key to making our community and our world a better place. It is my goal to ensure that in all that I do and seek to achieve as the representative for the Redlands is undertaken through the lens of ‘will this be the best for my community?’ and is it fair, just and for the common good.
Labor has always aimed to, in the words of former Prime Minister Gough Whitlam:
"Promote equality, to involve the people of Australia in the decision-making processes of our land, and to liberate the talents and uplift the horizons of the Australian people."
Our commitment to fairness, access to quality education and healthcare no matter what a person’s circumstances and a firm belief that we should all have the same opportunities in life underpin what we do.
